Extra large 23cm (9 inch) touch screen

Transform your dashboard into a premium cinema experience: The highlight of the Alpine system is the 9-inch high-resolution touchscreen; the largest display for a Volkswagen Golf 7 dashboard to date. In fact, it is more than twice as large as the standard 5-inch RNS 310/315 screen found in most Golf 7s. This extra-large display will amaze you with its brilliant, high-resolution image quality; it has to be seen to be believed.

Steering wheel control buttons

The Alpine system is connected to your steering wheel control buttons. This means you don't lose this handy feature when upgrading to Alpine and you'll have full control over volume, phone, audio track forward/backward and many other controls. You can even activate Siri voice control right from your steering wheel if you have an iPhone connected to the system.

Displaying information

The remote display is also connected to the Alpine system and can display radio station names, song titles and artist information, caller names, navigation arrows (Android auto navigation only) and much more.

Parking sensors

If your car is originally equipped with parking sensors, you will not lose this feature when upgrading to Alpine. The parking sensor system is connected to your Alpine display, conveniently displaying distances and providing proximity sounds when parking your car. The i902D-G7 / X903D-G7 features our 2nd generation parking sensor display with much higher display details.

Rear view camera

If your Golf 7 is equipped with the original Volkswagen reversing camera, it can also be connected to the Alpine system. The camera is automatically activated when reversing.

Vehicle Information

The Alpine system is compatible with the Golf 7 electronics system. Vehicle parameters and information such as turbo pressure are displayed on the 9-inch Alpine display.

Compatible with Dynaudio sound system

Alpine Style systems are compatible with the original Golf 7 Dynaudio sound system. For Golf 7 since 2012 with Dynaudio system, you need the APF-H100DY interface which allows you to connect your Alpine Style unit to the Dynaudio amplifier. Please note that the "Fader" function is no longer available.

Start screen

Alpine offers 4 basic opening screens (Golf, GTI, GTD and R), but it is very easy to create a custom image and upload it to the system.

Air conditioning settings

i902D-G7 / X903D-G7 allows adjustment of the selected driver and passenger temperature, AC status, seat heating level, selected air vents and more. This screen will automatically appear for a few seconds when any of the named settings are changed.

Induction charger

The KCE-G7QI wireless charger (optional) is a very useful accessory for your Golf. This small rubber pad fits perfectly into the Golf 7 center console and provides Qi-compatible inductive charging for your compatible phone. The KCE-G7QI works with any Golf 7 regardless of the original radio or aftermarket system.

Enjoy a big screen

The Alpine system allows you to enjoy movies, music videos or TV shows from a variety of sources, such as DVDs from the optional optical drive, USB sticks, the latest smartphones with HDMI output or portable video devices (optional cables or adapters required). You can also connect your iPod touch or iPhone via HDMI to enjoy your video content on the high-resolution 9-inch display. Alpine even offers a new DVB-T2 tuner ( TUE-T220DV ) if you want to watch TV programs while waiting in traffic jams. For driving safety, the video playback function is only available when the vehicle is not moving.

Works with Apple CarPlay

With Apple CarPlay compatibility, the innovative i902D-G7 / X903D-G7 brings you an efficient and secure solution to allow you to use your iPhone on the road. Apple CarPlay allows the iPhone user, in an extremely intuitive way, to make phone calls, use Maps, listen to music and access their messages with a word or a touch. You can even enjoy Spotify, internet radio and podcasts while you are on the road for a true connected experience. Simply connect your iPhone via the USB of your Alpine and you are ready to go.

Works with Android Auto

Android Auto was developed with safety in mind. With a simple and intuitive interface, integrating steering wheel controls, and powerful voice commands, it aims to minimize distractions as much as possible and allow you to stay focused on the road. Android Auto automatically gathers a lot of useful information for you and displays it in the form of a simple map just when you need it. Apple Carplay and Android Auto have access to the i902D-G7 / X903D-G7 navigation antenna to improve the accuracy of the navigation application.

Integrated Bluetooth® technology

Bluetooth® technology allows wireless connection of your phone for hands-free communication, and system updates ensure compatibility with the latest mobile phones. A highly intuitive interface makes all your operations easier. Bluetooth also allows you to play audio streaming from your smartphones: audio content or radio via the Internet are accessible wirelessly on the Alpine system.

Connect your Smartphone

The Alpine system is fully compatible with the latest smartphones such as the iPhone 6S and the Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge. This offer includes multiple benefits: you can access the digital content saved on your phone such as music, video files, your contacts or simply search for your mobile. You can even activate Siri and control your iPhone out loud for maximum comfort and safety while driving. If you do not want to use Apple CarPlay or you have an iPhone 4 / 4S for example, you can still connect it and use the Alpine audio player to enjoy your music in your car and charge your phone.

DAB/DAB+ Digital Radio*

The integration of DAB/DAB+/DMB radio uses the most advanced technology to deliver high-quality reception. DAB radio also offers many other advantages in addition to the FM band: a wider choice of radio stations and, after recognizing all radio stations, the possibility of choosing your radio in alphabetical order or by genre. *(DAB network coverage in France remains in the test phase).

Optional DVD player

Enhance your Alpine system by adding a DVD and CD player. The single DIN DVE-5300 can be installed in the glove compartment or elsewhere. It uses HDMI technology for impeccable picture quality that can be controlled from the touch screen.

USB / AUX ports

The X903D-G7 includes a special cable that connects the USB/AUX port in the central control with your Alpine system to maintain these useful connectors.
The installation of the USB/AUX port depends on the vehicle equipment. For Golf 7 2016 model with SmartLink option, an additional accessory is required. Original "AUX in" does not support video.

Hi-Res Audio

This Alpine unit can play audio files in FLAC format; including 24/96 and 24/192 Hi-Res Audio compatibility.

Equalizer

The i902D-G7 / X903D-G7 offers many sound adjustment options to get the most out of your Golf audio system and to adjust the sound to your preferences. The built-in 9-band dual-band parametric equalizer allows separate adjustment for the front and rear channels with professional detail.

Sound Pre-sets

10 EQ presets allow you to quickly switch to different sound modes, such as Rock, Pop and Jazz.

Fader and Balance

Use the touchscreen to drag the slider to where you prefer to enjoy the best sound inside the vehicle and adjust the fader and balance to your liking.

X-Over

The digital crossover allows you to adjust the cutoff frequencies for your speakers. This ensures a matching sound signal that can be accepted by your speakers without distortion.

Digital Time Correction

Time correction allows you to virtually adjust the distance of each speaker by delaying the signals from the closest speakers. This gives the impression of listening from a central position.

After 3 years, you can download regions grouping several countries or the entire European map depending on your needs and at a very reasonable price.

GPS and Glonass compatible

More satellites have higher navigation accuracy and faster positioning correction. This Alpine product is compatible with GPS satellite signals and can also receive positioning data from Glonass satellites. This brings great benefits, especially in an urban environment with many tall buildings and when driving near high mountains. When using navigation with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, you can also benefit from this new improved compatibility.

One Look Split Screen

Alpine’s innovative “One Look” technology allows you to view the navigation map and audio playback information at a glance. This eliminates the need to switch between different applications. You can switch from full screen to One Look view with a simple tap on the display, and you can simply drag the Navi map to display it in the left or right window.

Points of interest

You can easily search for a POI by category, name, distance or other criteria. This feature is very useful when you are looking for a specific restaurant or the nearest gas station of your favorite brand. With a tap on the touch screen, you can contact the restaurant by phone and book your table.

Navigation with Apple CarPlay

When a turn comes up, the screen automatically zooms in to see exactly where to go. Throughout the journey, signs and arrows will guide you in the right direction and how to get there easily. Looking for a gas station, restaurant, or café on your route? New buttons on the navigation screen help you quickly find the nearest place that meets your needs and add the additional time generated by the detour to your journey time. If you press the navigation button on your Alpine station twice, you activate Apple CarPlay navigation without going through the main menu.

Whether on your smartphone screen or your car's display, Android Auto was designed with the goal of making the driving space safer. With larger buttons, a simplified interface, and easy-to-use voice commands, it's a design that minimizes distraction to keep you focused on the road. X903D-G7 works great with Android Auto and Google maps. Android Auto can even access the Alpine navigation antenna for greater position accuracy.
