The predecessor model V1100A literally conquered the market a few years ago and could be described as a revolution in the field of active subwoofers. This was also reflected in the specialist magazine Car & Hifi, where the V1100A received the maximum score of 1.1 and the BEST PRODUCT award at its debut . But even proven high-end products can be improved, which is why the V1100A is now being launched in the V2 version.

With the V1100Av2 , the developers wanted to make something much better. In terms of sound, nothing left to be desired, but the previously quite large remote control should be smaller. In the new V2 version, the controls for crossover, bass boost, subsonic and phase have been placed in the upper cover of the housing. These can be easily adjusted there, making the included remote control much more compact.

In addition, the ESX engineers have equipped the housing with a short-circuit-proof power socket that can be removed if necessary. This allows the spare wheel carrier to be removed quickly and easily. The high-quality high-end subwoofer with 28 cm metal membrane and 64 mm voice coil, which optimally withstands even high pressures in the housing, has remained unchanged. The powerful 150 watt RMS class A/B power amplifier has also been retained. The RCA and high-level inputs with automatic switching function ensure the correct connection.

Of course, the structure of the high-quality aluminum housing has also been retained. One of the main strengths of the V1100A was and remains the ingenious mounting solution. The second surround in the middle of the subwoofer completely seals the housing. The fixing screw can also be driven in here, which securely fixes both the spare wheel and the subwoofer. With a diameter of 36 cm and a height of only 14.5 cm, the new V1100Av2 fits into spare wheel wells from 15 inches or even in vehicles without a spare wheel.
