Alternator mechanically compatible with the cars listed below. Mechanically compatible means that it will not be necessary to add brackets, but it may be unavoidable to replace the belt and/or pulley with the original one from the vehicle.
Please note that the installation of the new alternator may cause the red light on the dashboard to come on, as GS Audio alternators are racing products and are not original to the car. For this reason, we strongly recommend that you entrust the installation to competent personnel in authorized installation centers or directly at our headquarters.

Choose an EXTERNAL REGULATOR for battery charging. 3 types depending on the batteries you have:
1- end of charge at 14.2 Volts >>> suitable for lead, AGM and lithium Lifepo4 batteries generally installed on motorhomes;
2- End of charge at 14.8 Volts >>> suitable for AGM and lithium LTO batteries;
3- Adjustable charging end with potentiometer from 14.8 to 16.5 Volts >>> suitable for LTO lithium batteries and vehicle electrical system separate from the charging system.
** IMPORTANT ** BEFORE purchasing, it is essential to check that the original alternator currently installed on your vehicle is equipped with the same brackets and pulley present on the alternator you are about to purchase.
** IMPORTANT ** Most cars cannot be powered by voltages higher than 15-15.5 V, therefore, to reach higher voltages it is essential to disconnect the car's electrical system from the battery charging system. GS Audio GS Audio declines all responsibility for possible assembly and wiring errors on the part of the buyer and for damage to vehicles resulting from improper use of the alternator or overcharged batteries with voltages higher than those indicated by the manufacturer! The battery to be recharged above 15 volts must always be disconnected from the vehicle electronics, but with the alternator charging ground in common.
Electrically, it will be necessary to replace the charging cable with a 50mmq copper cable to the battery pack and add a positive key for automatic ignition of the alternator.

CORRECT OPERATION: To work properly the alternator needs its own control unit which must be connected to the alternator socket (4PIN) plus the REMOTE >> only one blue wire must be connected under the MANDATORY key.
In the alternator remote control wire, intended for ignition, it is essential to ensure that the current is sent only when the engine is running. Otherwise, the alternator could overheat and risk being damaged beyond repair.
CONTROL UNIT SUPPLIED: Equipped with an always-on voltmeter and a button to activate/deactivate the alternator in necessary situations. The unit is designed to operate in "automatic" mode using the key switch. Simply keep the switch on and the alternator will automatically activate when the engine is started.
PLEASE NOTE
To preserve the life of the alternators, Gs Audio recommends, in the case of installation of LTO batteries, to bring the positive cable of the alternator directly to the rear of the trunk with a length of approximately 4m and an ideal section of 50mmq in pure copper or 80mmq of CCA.
WE PROHIBIT larger diameter sections and installation with alternator cable that goes directly ''to the LTO pack in the engine at 1 meter''
The current actually delivered depends on the number of crankshaft revolutions and, therefore, on the size of the original pulley. For example, if your pulley has a diameter of about 14-15 cm (typical for a FIAT 1200cc petrol engine), the alternator is likely to deliver a charging current of between 140/170 A at low revs (around 800 rpm) and up to 270 A with gentle acceleration around 1500 rpm. For diesel-engined vehicles, which generally have larger diameter pulleys, the gear ratio is higher, bringing the charging current to around 160-190 A at idle and up to 330 A in musical phase at 4000 rpm of the alternator shaft.

2 INSTALLATION OPTIONS:
1 If the Gs Audio alternator replaces the original alternator: it is necessary to replace the original positive charging cable with a 35mmq copper section cable or 50mmq CCA, leaving the control pin (car wiring free). However, this modification will cause the battery light on the dashboard to come on. It is important to note that only a car electrician, through the intervention of software, can turn off the warning light.
2 If the Gs Audio alternator is added (e.g. in front of the engine with the previous cable and control unit modes), leaving the original behind the engine: it will be necessary to disconnect the positive battery charge cable from the original alternator of the car, while keeping the control plug inserted into it. This will cause the battery light on the dashboard to go out. It is essential to note that under no circumstances should the large positive charge cable of the original alternator be left connected, as the simultaneous use of two different alternators can cause rapid deterioration of one of them.
