Description

ESX is known for its high-quality car audio components. In addition to high-quality amplifiers and DSP products, ESX also offers a wide range of loudspeakers. Since loudspeakers are installed in vehicles and problems often arise when sheet metal or door panels vibrate undesirably, ESX has now included a wide range of insulation materials in its range. With the QUANTUM RAZOR MAT aluminium and acoustic butyl foam , ESX enables professional insulation in vehicles. Because there is one thing no music fan wants: background noise or vibrations that spoil the enjoyment of music.

Not all aluminum butyls are the same. Ultimately, it all depends on the right composition and internal structure, not just the weight or strength of the material. Alternatively, you can also use roofing felt. A good aluminum butyl has high mechanical damping properties and can quiet unwanted vibrating parts like a good shock absorber. At the same time, the sound is isolated, so the application of aluminum butyl creates an additional sound barrier. All this has a positive effect on the interior acoustics and the playback quality of the speakers.

The QRM18 aluminium butyl already has very good overall insulating properties. With its thickness of 1.8 mm, it is easy to work with and is ideal for insulating doors or trunks. If the surface allows it, the 2.2 mm thick QRM22 with a mechanical loss factor (MLF) of 0.35 is an even better choice. The ingenious QRM30S offers the best insulating properties. With a thickness of 3.0 millimeters and a MLF loss factor of 0.5, this Razor Mat even soothes problem areas. The sound result is astonishing: where previously vehicle parts "ratcheted" and "clattered", there is absolute silence after applying the QRM30S. You only hear what the loudspeaker is supposed to reproduce. Even if you listen to something louder, only the clear sound of the speakers is present.
