The MTX TX465C speakers (2-way Coax 16.5cm 80W RMS 555W Peak 4Ω) do an exceptional job in the original locations of compatible vehicles. The smoothness and power with which they reproduce the best recordings is exceptional. The semi-pressed paper cone covered with crystals and silver is musical and clear. The magnetic structure at the limit of reasonable ensures astonishing dynamics and power handling. The soft silk dome tweeter with neodymium magnet is enchanting. This last feature is rare at this price point… It is more often found on models twice as expensive.
It works perfectly on a car radio, but it is enhanced if connected to an external amplifier like the MTX TX2450 or the TX275 which are musical, powerful, dynamic and not aggressive... To complete the picture, you can also, at a later stage, add an active subwoofer like for example the MTX RTP8, the RTT8P or the RTF10P
