Description

Extraordinary performance in a compact volume: this is the challenge of Mille PRO car audio subwoofers. With the solid experience gained with Mille Legend, the R&D team optimized the production process to offer the "Hertz Sound Experience" to the greatest number of people, by re-employing the technologies and materials from this flagship line.

MEMBRANE AND CONE

The MP 300 D4.3's membrane is made of mineral-powder-loaded cellulose, the same construction technique as for Legend. The V-cone® profile increases rigidity, allowing the cone to operate like a piston. The surround is made of very pure IIR butyl.

BOUNDARY FREE SURROUND

As with the Legend ML 2000.3 and ML 2500.3, Mille PRO subwoofers use Boundary Free Surround technology, which allows for a larger emissive surface at the same diameter, for higher sound pressure.

COMPACT BASKET

The compact, anti-resonant, six-spoke aluminum basket is the same as for the ML 2500.3; it contributes to the subwoofer's mechanical damping by being totally acoustically transparent.

HIGH-PERFORMANCE VOICE COIL

The 65 mm diameter, 4-layer voice coil wound on a TIL-P former is over 60 mm high to allow for larger displacements. The 4Ω + 4Ω impedance enhances versatility by allowing the use of any type of amplifier.

OPTIMIZED VENTILATION SYSTEM

The ventilation and pressure relief system avoids the need for drilling in the bottom plate, with the following advantages:

• Better thermal inertia for lower operating temperatures during musical transients
• Better magnetic field induction in the coil with the same motor size. Thanks to the high iron content in the pole pieces, the probability of magnetic saturation decreases by making the most of the flux density generated by the magnet
• Possibility of installing the subwoofer on the rear wall, taking advantage of its compact dimensions. A damping disc is supplied with the product, allowing it to be fixed to the enclosure via the 10 pre-drilled holes

OPTIMIZED COOLING

The orifices around the voice coil and the 10 holes in the back plate allow for better air exchange with the inside of the windings, forcing air to pass through the air gap to maintain a low operating temperature even during the most extreme musical passages.

PROFESSIONAL CONNECTORS

Connection is made via solid push-in connectors with short-circuit protection, accepting 8 AWG cables for the lowest possible resistance in low-impedance (1Ω) configurations.
