4 Channel Remote Delay Switch / Cutoff Adjustable Voltage

Many people are familiar with this problem: when switching amplifiers on or off, an annoying "popping" noise comes from the speakers or subwoofer. This is often due to poor timing between the radio and the amplifier or high power consumption, especially when multiple amplifiers need to be switched on at the same time. To prevent this, relays are often installed for time-delayed switching, but this is a complicated and expensive solution. ESX now offers a much simpler and more efficient alternative: the DRDS-14 4-way remote switch, which permanently solves switching problems while protecting high-quality components.

To prevent the amplifiers controlled by the remote signal from all starting at the same time, the signal must be staggered for each amplifier. Simply put: as soon as the first amplifier is switched on, the second must follow with a short delay, then the third, and finally the fourth. This is exactly what the new DRDS14 allows. The switch has a remote input, which usually comes from the car radio or a DSP, as well as four remote outputs arranged side by side. A delay can be set individually for each output using the buttons on the side. For example, the first output can become active two seconds after the radio is switched on, the second five seconds after the first output, and so on up to the fourth amplifier. The outputs can even be programmed in reverse order, regardless of the switch-on delay, so that the amplifiers are switched off in a staggered manner and one after the other.

The DRDS-14 not only offers a digital voltage display, which can even be calibrated to match other nearby voltage displays such as buffer capacitors, but also has a sophisticated protection function: if undervoltage or overvoltage occurs in the vehicle, the limits of which can be set individually, the connected components are automatically switched off so that they cannot be damaged.
