Description

The Prima APBX 10 AS2 active subwoofer, with its 10-inch speaker, features a high-performance amplification module that enhances all the technologies of the passive enclosure, such as the 2S² (2 Sides / 2 Sounds) design, the Plug & Play terminal block, and the ultra-compact size.

The 400W RMS amplification module is developed with he-li (high-efficiency / low-impedance) technology, which, thanks to the absence of a DC-DC voltage booster, achieves an impressive 90% efficiency, very close to the theoretical limit of Class D. The new DBT (Dynamic Bass Tracking) input stage allows 100% utilization of the he-li amplifier's power, providing tight and dynamic bass even at very high listening volumes.

The elimination of the voltage booster was made possible by the development of new dual voice coil speakers, which inherit all the technology of Prima subwoofers but are distinguished by their ultra-low impedance (0.16 ohms for APBX 10 AS2). This characteristic ensures perfect synergy with he-li technology, maximizing the combination of amplifier, speakers, and sealed enclosure to achieve powerful and clear low frequencies.

The control section is comprehensive, allowing optimal regulation of low-frequency emissions in the car's cabin. The 12dB/Oct. Butterworth low-pass filter with variable cutoff frequency (50-200 Hz) can be bypassed when used with an AP bit processor with a dedicated sub pre-out.
