Designed and fully developed in Sweden!

Before purchasing this base, you need to think about one thing.
Swedish brand System One has developed its popular and best-selling W-10 subwoofer, and it has taken many years to develop an already extremely good product! The new model - which bears the name W100 - plays even more tightly and musically. Its alert playing style is infectious for both music and film.
Like its predecessor, the base is fitted with a large 10" cardboard cone element and a foam rubber suspension that some have previously called "Fatboy". The suspension is wide to give the right "control" of the cone, resulting in a large stroke with less distortion.
By having a ported construction you get a higher sensitivity, which gives more power and dB to the reproduction. The basic port is of the slitz type, which can handle large amounts of airflow without creating annoying blowing noises. Almost essential when the reproduction is linear up to 35 Hz with the risk of an increase in volume.

Before you become a happy owner of this bass, you need to think about one thing. Don't play too loudly. Partly to preserve the harmony of the neighborhood, but also because high volume can damage your hearing.

Analog output stage with good connection possibilities
After much testing and listening, System One came to the conclusion that the final stage should be a Class A/B type. An analog amplifier sounds better in this class than most digital amplifiers. The plentiful output power gives good control over the element and can extract up to 150 watts continuous and it doubles in faster peaks when the movie noise takes over and explosions thunder through the room.
A nice touch is the automatic sleep mode, where the base jumps to an incoming signal and returns to sleep when no signal is detected for about 15 to 20 minutes.
On the back there is both a low level (RCA and stereo LFE) and a high level (speaker cable). The latter are less favored and perfect when the stereo amplifier lacks a pre-out. "Rec out" should not be connected via a low level from an amplifier when "pre out" is absent, because such an output is fixed level and therefore always produces the maximum signal.

Fits all speaker sizes
Depending on the size of the speakers, you can variably set a crossover frequency between 35 and 150 Hz. System One uses a sumptuous and effective filter that does not let any intermediate bases pass, a common compromise with competing bases found in supermarkets.
With larger floorstanding speakers, you get a better transition at a lower breakover point, while smaller speakers require a higher breakover point so you don't have a "hole" at the overlap. The exact spot where you share can also be personal, so listen carefully.
There is also a 0 or 180 degree phase tilt. The tilt affects how the element moves, whether the stroke starts toward > in or vice versa. Normally the phase tilt should be at 0 degrees, but location and room acoustics can affect the reproduction of the base and the behavior of the wavelengths. Mainly the location of the base in rooms A and O. A base box that is in the wrong location can be completely off in a room, which you try to compensate for by increasing the volume. This places unnecessary demands on both the output stages and the elements. Correct placement can give a gain in the room of 6 dB, which reduces the power requirement by 75%! If you are experiencing poor bass register, it may be because the wavelengths of the bass and the drivers are interfering with each other when playing out of phase. Then try turning the phase tilt so that the speakers play together. This will do wonders for the bass range!
