With the said dual 12" base element in parallel connection, H212B in the base area gets a total grain surface of 18" extreme. As you can see, this speaker can move large amounts of air, with heavy bass reproduction. Some may fear that the base will become loose and uncontrolled by such large elements? Not at all, a large part of the magic lies in the power supply of the power supply and its ability to control the elements. Although the H212B has a high sensitivity compared to competitors, a more powerful amplifier is of course preferable, especially if the goal is to spin loudly and dance freely.
As if that wasn't enough, you double everything. The H212B has two 4" midrange elements and two 1" treble elements.

Home theater sound
Of course, the H212B does a great job as a front speaker in a larger theater system. One advantage of the speakers is that they have a terminal with dual connections, that is, they are prepared for bi-wire (two sets of speaker wiring) or bi-amping (double set of amplifiers, or bio-amplifiers with bi-amp function). Many of today's bio-amplifiers, with seven built-in output stages, have the bi-amp function, which means that if you remove the ink that connects the two pairs of connections on the H212B, you split the base and top part. With this, you get four of the bio-amplifier's power amplifiers powering the speakers instead of two, which gives more power and control. Keep in mind, however, that you will need a double set of speaker cables for this.


High sensitivity
One advantage to mention with the H212B is its high sensitivity of 92 dB. From an amplifier point of view, the power requirement is significantly reduced. A 3 dB increase in volume means that the output power is doubled. A speaker with a sensitivity of 89 dB therefore needs twice as much power as the H212B to play at exactly the same loudness. A speaker with a sensitivity of 86 dB needs four times as much power. Where the H212B demands 50 watts to play really loud, the 86 dB speaker demands 200 watts. This makes the H212B suitable for different amplifier models, with a reduced risk of overload. In addition, the distortion in the elements becomes lower and the dynamic range larger. Not bad, huh!?
