In order to be able to absorb a lot of power, ESX makes no compromises when it comes to voice coils and already uses a 76 mm CCAR coil for the 10″, and 100 mm coils are even used in the two larger models. The CCAR coils are made of flat aluminum wire with copper coating, a robust combination that also saves weight and thus increases efficiency. The large winding height of 58 mm in all models allows a linear cone stroke of up to +/- 23 mm. Great!
