The beast is back. And better than ever.
In the early 2000s, DD's 9900 series was called The Beast. After a long hiatus, The Beast is back and better than ever. The latest version is designed to meet the ultra-low frequency demands of modern music. The elements in this collection can be driven for long periods of time with very high power and long trajectories. The element is optimized for 1500 to 2500 watts of power and can handle up to 10,000 watts of power for a short period of time.
Looking at the element’s motor, you’ll discover where The Beast gets its name. The magnet is over three inches tall and ten inches wide. The precision-machined magnet structure contains a 4″ voice coil. The mechanical path is over three inches and even at its ends, the voice coil is far enough inside the magnet to maintain control of the element.
This element uses an ESP (Evolution Subwoofer Performance) structure, which includes, among other things, lower suspensions with a smaller diameter, a frame with the depth required for the trajectory, and an upper suspension and a conical structure that deviates from the normal model series. ESP elements are designed to achieve maximum performance in their size range.
